Turns manufacturer spec sheets that don't speak the same language into comparisons you can actually use — sizing, weight, materials, and warranty on one scale.

Good research shouldn't pretend to be firsthand experience. Its job is to take scattered information and make it substantially easier to understand and use.

A “medium” harness is not a medium harness. One brand sizes by chest circumference, another by weight class, and a third ships overlapping letters that fit completely different dogs. Published weights drift from listing to listing, care instructions hide in footnotes, and the buyer does the math at the returns counter.

Maya’s job is to do that math in advance. She pulls the documentation apart — sizing charts, materials, dimensions, warranties, care instructions, published weights — and rebuilds it in units that line up, so products can finally sit side by side and the differences can speak for themselves.

She also maintains the site’s sizing and specification datasets, and flags discrepancies worth measuring by hand when gear comes in for field testing.

Nothing on a research page is field-tested unless the page says so — loudly.
