1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Wag & Wander's services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Description

Wag & Wander provides professional dog walking and hiking services in the Seattle area, including:

  • 30-minute and 1-hour neighborhood dog walks
  • Half-day (4-5 hours) and full-day (8+ hours) hiking adventures
  • GPS tracking and photo updates during services
  • Certified, insured dog walkers and hiking guides

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Account Registration

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

3.2 Dog Information

You must:

  • Provide accurate information about your dog's health, behavior, and special needs
  • Ensure your dog has up-to-date vaccinations (rabies, DHPP, bordetella)
  • Disclose any aggressive behavior, biting history, or medical conditions
  • Ensure your dog is properly licensed per Seattle regulations

4. Booking and Cancellation Policy

4.1 Booking

Bookings are subject to walker/guide availability. Payment is required at time of booking via Stripe.

4.2 Cancellation by Customer

  • More than 24 hours before service: Full refund
  • Less than 24 hours before service: 50% refund
  • No-show or same-day cancellation: No refund

4.3 Cancellation by Wag & Wander

We reserve the right to cancel services due to weather, safety concerns, or walker availability. Full refunds will be issued for cancellations initiated by us.

5. Pricing and Payments

Pricing is displayed on our website and may change without notice. Current rates:

  • 30-minute walk: $30
  • 1-hour walk: $55
  • Half-day hike: $300
  • Full-day hike: $500
  • Additional dogs: +$10 per dog

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store credit card information.

6. Liability and Insurance

6.1 Our Insurance

Wag & Wander carries general liability and professional liability insurance. All walkers and guides are bonded and insured.

6.2 Limitation of Liability

While we take every precaution to ensure your dog's safety, dog walking and hiking involve inherent risks. By using our services, you acknowledge:

  • Dogs may encounter wildlife, other animals, or unexpected situations
  • Weather conditions may change during outdoor activities
  • Minor injuries (scratches, scrapes) may occur during normal play and exploration

Wag & Wander is not liable for injuries or damages beyond the scope of our insurance coverage, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

7. Service Guarantees

We guarantee:

  • Certified, background-checked walkers and guides
  • Pet CPR and wilderness first aid trained staff
  • GPS tracking during walks (when cell service permits)
  • Photo updates during services
  • Detailed walk reports after each service

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use our services for any illegal purpose
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten our staff
  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of our services
  • Attempt to circumvent our booking and payment systems

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Wag & Wander and protected by copyright laws. Photos taken during walks remain your property but may be used by us for marketing purposes (with your consent).

10. Emergency Procedures

In case of emergency, our walkers/guides will:

  • Contact you immediately
  • Contact your emergency contact if you're unavailable
  • Seek immediate veterinary care if necessary
  • Document the incident and provide a full report

You authorize us to seek emergency veterinary care for your dog if needed, and you agree to reimburse us for any emergency veterinary expenses.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to services at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe:

  • Violates these Terms of Service
  • Is harmful to other users, staff, or our business
  • Involves aggressive or dangerous dogs
  • Includes non-payment or fraudulent activity

12. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of King County, Washington.
