The Sherpa Original Deluxe is built backwards from an airline seat: a soft-sided carrier whose spring-wire frame lets the rear flex down several inches to sit under most seats, with mesh ventilation on multiple sides, a waterproof base, and leak-proof self-locking zippers. Top and side entries make loading easier in a cramped cabin row.
The sizing ladder runs Small (about 15 × 10 × 8.5 in, pets to ~8 lb), Medium (about 17 × 11 × 10.5 in), up to a 16 lb line maximum. That ceiling is the first filter on this page: over 16 lb and the cabin-carrier question closes.
